Hark how the bells,
sweet silver bells,
all seem to say,
throw cares away
Christmas is here,
bringing good cheer,
to young and old,

that is their song
with joyful ring
all caroling.
One seems to hear
words of good cheer
from everywhere
filling the air.

raising the sound,
o'er hill and dale,
telling their tale.
Gaily they ring
while people sing
songs of good cheer,
Christmas is here.

on without end,
their joyful tone

Щедрик, щедрик, щедрівочка,
Прилетіла ластівочка,
Стала собі щебетати,
Господаря викликати:
– Вийди, вийди, господарю,
Подивися на кошару,
Там овечки покотились,
А ягнички народились.
В тебе товар весь хороший,
Будеш мати мірку грошей.
Хоч не гроші, то полова,
В тебе жінка чорноброва.
Щедрик, щедрик, щедрівочка,
Прилетіла ластівочка.
